Pest plant species the focus for new phase of Mautohe Cathedral Cove work
We’re sharing an update from the Department of Conservation on the ongoing efforts to restore Mautohe Cathedral Cove. This globally recognised landmark, known for its stunning beach and rock arch, has been impacted by both natural events, like Cyclone Gabrielle, and environmental threats from invasive pest plants.
Our team has been involved in this vital conservation work, assisting in the removal of invasive species and supporting efforts to reopen the iconic walkway. Working alongside DOC and Ngāti Hei, we continue to focus on enhancing the native biodiversity of this special place for future generations.
