The team

  • A keen outdoorsman with great knowledge of Coromandel’s natural environment. Aaron is experienced in arboriculture, landscape construction, bushcraft and predator control – particularly in trapping and hunting.

  • Equipped with a Master of Science (Research), majoring in Ecology and Biodiversity, Renee is passionate about conservation with particular skills in data collection and analysis, and report writing.

  • Bex has acquired a vast range of field experience from years of working in conservation, including stints working for DOC on Motutapu and Tiritiri Matangi Island. She must love the island life, as she also spent 6 months as a Supervisor of an Ecological Restoration Team working on Waiheke Island. She has a dream of one-day training and working alongside a conservation dog.

Bex's easy-going nature and down-to-earth practicality make her a great fit for the Field Support Team. She recently completed a chainsaw refresher course. Her chainsaw skills are a great asset, as the team continue to clear overgrown trap lines and tackle cyclone wind-fall. We're so pleased to have her exceptional field skills on hand.
